Research output and academic reputation has seen NUI Galway secure the largest boost among Irish universities in world rankings announced on 11th September 2012. With only two Irish universities improving their world ranking, NUI Galway witnessed the greatest rise in position, increasing 11 places. Read more

All NUI Galway alumni are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting of the NUI Galway Alumni Association on Saturday, September 15th, 2012 from 1.00pm - 2.00pm in The Gatelodge, NUI Galway.

Conversations on a Homecoming::Gaiety Theatre, 2nd October

Druid Theatre Company's production of Tom Murphy's Conversations on a Homecoming will be performed in the Gaiety Theatre Dublin on Tuesday 2nd October.

An Alumni Reception will take place at the venue from 6:30pm with the play beginning at 7:30pm.

A special Alumni Rate of €32 is available to NUI Galway alumni and friends. Only a limited number of tickets is available!

Midlands Alumni Club:: Professor Hubert McDermott Lecture, Wednesday 24th October

NUI Galway’s Professor Hubert McDermott will deliver a lecture entitled ‘The ABC of Human Communication’ on Wednesday, 24th October at 8.00pm in the Custume Barracks, Athlone. This is a free event but guests are required to register in advance.

The 6th Annual NUI Galway Gala Dinner in New York City will honor Michael P. Higgins, NUI Galway Class of 1982, Managing Director & Head, US Real Estate Finance, CIBC World Markets and Anjelica Huston, Academy Award Winner and NUI Galway Honorary Graduate and will feature a Special Performance by Moya Brennan of CLANNAD.
